Ann Coulter: All Hate Crimes Are Hoaxes
Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter is weighing in on the Jussie Smollett case after the “Empire” actor was arrested Thursday over allegations he falsely claimed that he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack.
“Alright, this particular hate crime turned out to be a hoax, but let’s remember, ALL OF THEM are hoaxes. #Smollett,” Coulter tweeted Thursday.

Chicago police said Thursday they believe Smollett paid two men to stage an attack on him in an effort to boost his salary on “Empire.” The actor initially told police that his assailants shouted “This is MAGA country” and racist and homophobic slurs during the attack.
He was charged a day earlier with felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report. He could face one to three years in prison.
President Trump also criticized Smollett after his arrest, tweeting Thursday, “.@JussieSmollett — what about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments!? #MAGA.”

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said the actor “took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career.”
“This publicity stunt was a scar that Chicago didn’t earn and certainly didn’t deserve,” he added.
